We love a good story, so naturally we are excited to share with you how this all began.

When the COVID pandemic struck in 2020, Jacob was in the midst of preparing for his wedding and in between jobs. He was leaving campus ministry to start growing a creative oriented business, and was preparing to launch a hand crafted leather goods company. During final product development and preparation for launch Jacob decided to explore making leather patch hats. He was so excited after sewing the first hat that while sewing the 2nd hat he forgot to hold the sweatband down, and sewed right through it. Now, Jacob has always been a hat guy. They are perhaps his favorite clothing article/accessory item and one of his favorite possessions is the hat collection he inherited from his grandpa. So when Jacob realized that he could actually design and make his own hats, the course of GBHC was set in motion. Almost immediately he put a halt to other products and started to focus solely on hats.
